Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the mall on Lee Boulevard on Tuesday, Dec. 4, where there was a report of a Hollister employee who stole clothes from her employer.
Police said that upon arrival, officers met with a Hollister loss prevention agent and conducted an investigation, which found that Buchanan resident Juliana Burns, an employee at the store, allegedly stole several items of clothing. In total, Burns stole items worth an estimated $73.80.
Burns was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny at Yorktown Police Headquarters. She was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justie Court on Jan. 8 to answer the charge.
